First, i'm just a guy. A 21 year old college business student that loves the concept of business and the idea of research and testing. So much so that I went out and created a business my freshman year in college called Essai pro cleaning… Essai meaning test or trial. As the name hints, I used this business to test concepts from... the power of follow ups, cost leader strategies, premium price point strategy, different online and in person marketing campaigns, specifically, identifying constraints in the conversion process and then split testing solutions, text campaigns, payroll management, different employee incentives for faster service delivery… basically testing everything inclusive of a service based business. I knew going into this business it wasn’t the one that was going to be forever, and didn't really fit my lifestyle…being a college student and having employees that were also college students. Scheduling was the constraint and there was no real solution that I wanted to invest time into solving. So back in November or December of 2023-24 I looked over the best things that I was doing in this business and identified that through testing I was pretty good at our marketing campaigns. I mean in the summers when scheduling wasn't an issue I printed money using advertising. At 20 years old we were doing $3000/day on 60% margins, just cleaning houses and washing driveways. Because of the power of split testing advertisements. Long story short, I then dove into independent research for 9 months or so as if it was my child, building on what I already tested in real life. The research is forever living, but the conclusions that I made on advertising and sales conversions are age old concepts that have worked throughout time for those who’ve understood them. I am not here to make promises of success, but only to apply what worked for myself and many other businesses to the businesses of my clients.
